Catch-up and clean-up bookkeeping
If your books are months behind, you are not the exception. It happens to busy owners all the time. I bring the books current as a separate project, and I explain what I find along the way, so you know where your business actually stands.
When it is time for a catch-up
- Your bank and card accounts have not been reconciled in months.
- Your tax pro is asking for numbers you do not have ready.
- You switched bookkeepers, or did it yourself for a while and stopped.
- You want monthly bookkeeping, but there is a backlog to clear first.
How it is priced
A catch-up is a separate project from monthly bookkeeping. It is scoped by how many months are behind, so you know the size of the job before I start.
What I need from you
Access to your bank and card accounts, or the statements for the months that are behind, plus answers about the transactions only you can identify.
After the catch-up
Once the books are current, most owners move to monthly bookkeeping so they do not fall behind again.
What this is not
I am not a CPA, and I do not prepare or file tax returns. A catch-up gives your tax pro an organized, reconciled set of books to work from.
Frequently asked questions
Do you prepare or file taxes?
No. I am not a CPA and I do not prepare or file tax returns. I bring your books current so your tax preparer receives an organized year.
Do you work in Spanish?
Yes. I work with both English- and Spanish-speaking business owners.
